“They’re putting the pinstriping back on it, and they’re painting it on there,” Beesley said. “It’s not going to be like stickers.”The project also gives Francis Tuttle students hands-on experience with a vehicle unlike most of what they would normally work on.

Local libraries unearth reads in summer programs

With the temps getting higher and school officially out all over the county, local libraries have launched their summer reading programs. This year, a few have expanded, opening their programs up to readers of all ages.

Every month, Wellness Dep. Rod Baker from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office releases the Lincoln County Recovery Report to keep residents informed of ongoing activities and programs to help with mental health recovery efforts in the county. The following is the May 2026 report.
A line of hopeful participants inches its way down the road in Tulsa on Saturday toward the staging area at Expo Square for the Route 66 Capital Cruise. The event broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest classic car parade; however, it wasn’t without its share of logistical issues. Hundreds were left out of the parade after being stuck in a traffic jam and were unable to even enter the staging area. That didn’t stop the celebrations for the historic day.
